I would love to see or hear about anyone making Lenten Calendars or (even a Lenten Path) . I know over the years many Mum's have made a variety of beautiful calendars. I am hoping to get some last minute inspirations. I am teaching 6 children, 4 of the older ones have done many things with me. My little schoolers boy 7 and girl 5 are quite new so I would like to do something different this year with them. Would you mind sharing what you are doing?
Thank you, God Bless. Chemai

Here are some of ours from the past:
We tend to like the desert theme and I try to turn the Sundays into oases since they are not included in the 40 days.
For this one, I used pictures from the Holy Land and little rock like stepping stones made out of paper.
Here is another variation.
We also make the lamb calendars that Karen Edmisten blogged about.

Thanks Charlotte, they look great!
How do you use yours from here, do you use a some kind of marker to follow the calendar?

Some years the kids have marked the days by putting a sticker up after night prayers. Some years, they simply cross the day off with a marker. One year, Lillian took a picture of her kids together and laminated it so that they moved themselves along the path to Easter. I thought that was really cute!

I don't know how to post pictures, but here are two ideas. One is a reusable laminated calendar - one for each child. The other is a download.

Here is the calendar we put together this year.
I found pictures of any saints feast days we were going to celebrate and Holy Week, as well as a fish symbol on Friday's. I also listed Masses we were going to go to, Confession, etc. It hangs in the dining room and so far it is quite the conversation piece for all the kids.

A bunch of us posted this on Facebook today and now apparently it's exceeded its bandwidth.
But I did save it to my desktop if anyone needs it.
