This doesn't seem like such a huge thing in light of other prayer requsts. My 6 yo (the one with the incredibly high pain tolerance) was up all night with ear pain. At one point during the middle of the night, I got up to get her pain meds, and in the process of doing so, I passed out on the bathroom floor. Probably not something to worry about- I'm sure it's just iron deficiency or something, but I've never passed out before and it kind of scared me to do that without my husband here.
Prayers for our weekend? Thank you, friends.
(ETA: after a quick google search, I'm betting that I was dehydrated. Um... Sarah? Lay off the coffee, girlfriend.)

Prayers! I have to make myself drink a big glass of emergen-C in the morning with my coffee, or I start feeling the symptoms of dehydration myself!

Just got back from the doctor's office. Looks like dd has a double ear infection and some junk in her lungs, so they started her on antibiotics and a nebulizer. They couldn't do a blood test on me today to check for iron deficiency-- the doc seemed to think that it wasn't dehydration-- you have to be *really* dehydrated to pass out, I guess. So probably iron deficiency-- I've struggled with that since I was a baby. I don't *feel* iron deficient though- not low-energy or tired... anyway, I started taking some iron and will make an appointment next week-- let's see, before or after moving day  ? Yowza.
Anyway, my neighbor is on alert to come check on us frequently, and my in-laws are, too. My poor dh, on the other side of the country, is beside himself with worry. So now I'll add him to this prayer request, too!

do you have low blood pressure? Mine is super low.I've passed out before (maybe 10x in the past 15 years) either at mass, or getting up out of bed, just the difference from sit to stand suddenly causes too much of a change for me.
I'm sorry I did not think to mention this before you went to the Dr.

I have no idea. My mom has really low blood pressure, though. Now that you mention it, I think she's passed out from it before... hmmmm... I think I'll give her a call.
I'm all freaked out- moving around really slowly because I'm afraid I'll faint again! Good grief.

Not to mention being one of THE BEST supplements out there. Lots and lots of anecdotal stories of getting iron level up in people who otherwise would struggle with it even when taking other more typical supplements.

oh and yeah if your blood pressure is on the low end.. being dehydrated will effect you faster. When I'm pregnant my blood pressure can get pretty low during that time when blood vessels are expanding but blood volume hasn't caught up.. if I'm hyper vigilent to get enough fluids.. it mostly counters it.. so not getting enough even if it doesn't make me medically dehydrated would make me much more inclined to blacking out when getting up quickly or standing in one place and such.
