Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Sorry if this has been covered before and if so, please direct me but I didn't quite know how to search for this. In our school room, I have a large wood desk with a hutch and also a bookcase pushed to one wall on the other side of the room.

I'd like to have some type of hanging system for each unit to possibly accommodate the piles on my desk for "projects" I'm working on. For example, I make all these great lists and get materials for different holidays, events etc. but they keep piling up on my desk. I was also thinking may be of storing library books or possibly even some of their lessons like a "workbox" of sorts. I guess I need something that hangs from the top of the hutch and bookcase without being permanently affixed to the units. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kathryn,
I'm not sure what you mean, but are you thinking something like this ?
I've never bought anything from this company, but I did a search because your question made me think I could use something like that too!

Thanks Becky! That is kind of what I'm looking for but the problem is I don't have a way to hang it. I was thinking of something that could hang over the top of the desk and bookcase without requiring any attachments. ? I had something similar to that years ago (with just a single column tho instead of 3) that I hung from the closet door with the over the door hooks. However, I don't think those hooks would work on my desk and/or bookcase. ?! hmmmm....actually I think they might work over my hutch b/c it's not flat up top. I'll check it out!

Hi again Becky,

I asked at the office supply store yesterday and the guy recommended I use those 3M adhesive hooks. I don't know why I didn't think of that b/c I have them on the inside of all our closet doors and they work GREAT. Plus they come in varying weight so I could possibly put some books in there.   We've broken some before and it really is true that the adhesive comes right off and doesn't mar the surface. So I think I am going to order the single pocket chart that has 10 pockets.

Yea...one step closer to organization!

Great idea Kathryn. I didn't think of those hooks either. Another place that has lots of pocket/organizer charts in Lakeshore Learning. Just be careful when you order from them because then you will get a weekly email about all their sales!
