who passed away Sunday afternoon. She was admitted to the hospital late last week, but I wasn't told of her condition (it was assumed minor) until yesterday morning, when she was suddenly placed on life support. She died later that day after all of us arrived.

She received Last Rites an hour or so before that, and I pray that she was still able to hear at that point (she was completely unresponsive by then). She and my grandfather are fallen-away Italian Catholics, and I am the only practicing Catholic in my family. I am so very thankful they were open to my urging that they have a priest come.

My grandfather is heartbroken (they were married 55 years), as are her four sons (my dad and uncles). It was so hard to see them all sobbing together at her bedside.

Please pray for my dad, the oldest son, who has the great burden of making arrangements and caring for my poor grandpa, and for the rest of my family, that in their grief they might return to the Faith. Please also pray for the repose of the soul of Rosina.
