The new year has come again. Each year it seems to be a time for resolutions to get organized, to reduce clutter, to re-establish priorities. In light of that, we want to do some cleaning up and organizing here on the forum as well.

Over the years as the 4Real forums have grown, we have developed, added to, and refined the policies and guidelines to best keep our focus and serve the membership while providing a safe and respectful environment. The 4Real Community Policies & Guidelines have recently been reformatted in a way that is hopefully more readable and accessible. As members these are the policies that guide your participation and we encourage you to familiarize yourself with them. A condensed listing (Readers Digest Version ) tops the thread - it's the basics. It has broad bullet points which provide a quick guide for members. More detailed explanations follow in the thread for additional clarification as needed.

One area that warrants a specific reminder at this time is that this is a virtual community – one in which members may or may not be known to any others in real life. While relationships and friendships often develop through shared interests and concerns, in regard to privacy and financial considerations that may come up, you are cautioned to remember the choice to share information or financial resources is yours alone. Verification of members and their information, beyond what is reasonable for moderators and applies to supporting an online community of home educators, is the responsibility of members and their spouses. Financial and security issues are addressed in "Fostering Good Stewardship."

Also a specific prayer resource, that has been revamped, is unveiled in the We Pray to the Lord Forum - an ongoing Maternity Novena & Calendar - a reminder to pray for our expectant members. Please help keep the information up-to-date if you would like to be included or if there is a change in status information. Thanks.
