We're ecstatic over here in the Miller household -- the Steelers won. My dh is a lifelong fan(atic)...and my brother-in-law and he together are incorrigible! I'm just so relieved they won...it's been a long journey for their coach, and he finally has won a championship.
And for me, the wife, I'll finally get some peace. At least until summer camps...
Don't get me wrong. Dh is wonderfully brilliant, funny, strongly in his faith, well-read, intelligent. But when it comes to the Steelers and Penn State Football....
I wish I didn't feel his angst for the team!

Jenn, I am as big a football fan as my husband, having grown up with a football-fanatic dad and brother !
And, as a die-hard New England Patriots fan , I would have liked to see my team win another Superbowl , but I am glad for the Steelers ~ they've waited a long time.
Congratulations and enjoy!!

Yes, we're really happy here...tired, but happy. Steelers are the superstars today! When I went to bed I started worrying that my post was complaining about the football...it's not. I just wish I (rather, we) didn't get so emotional about the sports!

Oh, and is it over? Apparently not, because ESPN post-mortem has my dh on the air from the wee hours of this morning until tonight... And then, I'll join Jenn for that HUGE sigh. It's a good thing I love football so much, or I'd really hate the Super Bowl.

My dh was up in the wee hours watching the postmortem...and some of the stuff today. We appreciate your husband's good work.

That's right...a huge sigh of relief because now we can all get back to what is REALLY important.....BASEBALL!!!!
Little League try outs are Saturday. We hear the Yankees (booooo) are going to play some exhibition games with the Diamondbacks (yeaaaaaaaa.) The weather is glorious giving lots time to practice. Ken Burns' Baseball DVD is playing on the TV. There's more but I'll stop because I value our friendships.
Some people look through their gardening catalogs during the winter. We get ready for baseball season .
Love,

We don't play here yet except backyard baseball, but trust me, that season is not lost here. Do you know how to spell PIRATES?
