This is shameless plug for a great product developed by my friend.

We all have our favorite 'mentor' moms. One of mine has raised
truly excellent children and still has a few at home in the raising
process. So I am delighted she is developing educational materials
that can help the rest of us raise our children to be of good character.

Her first product is a fun book and computer game that helps children
learn to clean their rooms in an orderly fashion. The book, Johnny,
Clean Your Room!, introduces the concept and the game defines what
goes where, giving the child practice in ignoring distractions and
staying on task.

My children played the computer game as long as we would let them
because it was so enjoyable.   Then even my 4 year old was able to
apply the lessons learned to the actual task of picking up her room.   
The handy task wheel made the job less overwhelming (not that I would
let my children's rooms get overwhelmingly messy or anything LOL) and
the hour glass was just fun!

This a well thought out, made in the USA product developed by a
homeschooling mom of many, with artwork done by wonderful homeschool
grads!
