Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I hope it is OK to post this here. I am looking for some womanly advice and trying to avoid a doctor visit.
I recently had my period and have been spotting ever since. It has been a week since it stopped. Everything else seems fine, so I am not worried. But I am wondering what hormones are messed up and if it is ever going to stop. I have been spotting about a week.

I meant to ask if it might be the start of menopause as I am 46!

Stuff like this has been going on with me, and I've thought everything from I'm pregnant to I'm not well and need more vitamins to I'm losing my mind! I suppose it is just age combined with modern life---I mean, we do have stressful lives today.    I have talked to several knowledgeable women who have said I am definitely not too young to be experiencing these strange variations. I am 41. I for one took it for granted that I would always be fertile after conceiving so many times so easily for so long! But it does come to an end!

Doing basal body temp. charting helps give an idea just why.. and there's lots of nutritional ideas for helping keep things working properly as long as they're working in Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition by Marilyn Shannon.

Red Raspberry leaf and
Vitex(Chasteberry)

Are the two herbs I know of off the top of my head that you might want to look into.

I am 41, and went through that a few months back. I was a very normal 28 day person....although my periods were heavy every month. Back in October I had a period for 2 weeks, spotting and basically had a period of some sort for a MONTH.

Had U/S, biopsy and finally a D&C in December where they found a polyp and removed it.

Right now I am WAITING to see how things go now....so far I haven't had a period yet. I am glad my doctor did all he did to rule out anything bad going on. If it continues I will just assume it's changes taking place in relation to perimenopause.

If it continues I would go see my GYN....just to make sure they are aware of what is going on.
