Why, yes, Christmas Day has passed...lol...
But my 9yo will be having his 10th birthday on Feb. 2nd, and I'm just drawing a blank here. It's too soon after Christmas for me to come up with more gift ideas, lol. For Christmas we got a Wii as a family gift, and he got a game with that. He also got a Razor ripstick and a snap together car model. What are your boys this age into?

Well, another Wii game probably wouldn't get a turned up nose.. and a new helmet and elbow and knee pads (if they'd be used) wouldn't be a bad gift either.
My boy a bit older is in Webelos going to be starting Boy Scouts in the next few months.. so most of his gifts were related to that.. a cool book on camping hints/tips and one for scout outdoor cooking.. a pocket knife, a knife sharpener, a compass.

My son is into Robin Hood and so he received a Boss Bow withe arrows and loves it. The bow itself is plastic and the arrows are foam. I looked at the beautiful wooden bow and arrow sets but they were too difficult for my son to load. My teenager is now trying how to sew a quiver for my sons arrows.
Would he like some plastic cones like they use for soccer that he could use to set up obstacle courses for his Razor?
I'll keep thinking to see if I have any other ideas.

This is what my 9 (10 on 1/20) son loved the most from Christmas! It now hangs proudly in the living room, suspended from thread!

Oh, thanks Joann, I remember now looking at some things like that for him for Christmas!
A nerf gun would be good too. Real weapons are out for this one. He's not, erm,,,ready for that kind of responsibility. I've thought about getting a marshmallow shooter. How do your kids do keeping up with the nerf darts and such?

If you want to get him a marshmellow shooter.. you might consider getting him the components and printing directions from the net so that he can make them himself.. for the same money you can get enough parts for several guns which make them more fun ~ you can have a "war"

My 9 1/2 year old LOVES his nerf gun (well, the assorted 3-4 that he has!) plus ANY remote control car! Somehow he keeps up w/ the darts.
My son also did one of those dino dig things like Joann's son a few weeks back and really liked it too.
My oldest DD's bday is 1/14 so I know what you mean about these bday's sooo soon after Christmas!
Good luck,

I have a couple close to Christmas.. I just include the birthdays in my Christmas planning.. I have a special place for birthday ideas on my Christmas gift planning list.. not only can I shift around which gift is for which event.. but the ones with birthdays half way around the year.. if I have an extra good idea that can't be done for Christmas, I have a place to save it.

Anything Star Wars
Anything Legos, esp. Star Wars
another Wii game
Star Wars miniatures
Cars and trucks
little green plastic army men
Playmobil
And a gift coupon or coupons from you for him to cash in, like "pick next pizza" or "lunch out with mom" or "no room cleanup pass." These really are a hit.
