Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I got this missal for Christmas and am so excited to start using it. But, I need help. I can't figure out if it has the daily readings. I'm still figuring out the way it's set up. Can anyone help?

Caroline,

Have you figured it out yet? I don't have that specific missal, I have this one and I can't say if they are similar in set-up.

Mine is a "daily" missal but it doesn't really have the reading for every day and you do have to jump around sometimes.

Caroline,
I have the same Baronius Press missal that Michele linked to. We also have the St. Andrew daily missal which my older children sometimes use.

Michele is right in that they are all very similar. I just spent some time sitting down with mine, using the ribbons to mark sections I'd be using most often. For me, that is:

**General prayers
**The Propers of the Season - with my ribbon in the appropriate part of the year. These contain the variable parts of the Mass (Collect, Gradual, Epistle, Gospel)
**Ordinary of the Mass - all the non-variable parts of the Mass (I keep 2 ribbons here - one for the beginning of the Mass, and one at the Credo, makes it easy to refer to after the homily)
**The Proper of Saints (Feasts and Saints days listed on the 1962 Roman calendar) in calendar order

That leaves me one extra ribbon. I use it when we pray a litany after Mass to mark the litany or other prayers.

HTH!

Thank you both so much! I have figured out quite a bit, I think, but I'm confused about what to do on days that are marked feria. I do appreciate your input so much!

Our priest will announce at the beginning of a Feria Mass, what mass he will be saying.
