I just have to share! My daughter, Maria, had a poem that she wrote published in the bulletin for our parish. She had given it as a gift to our priests and they were so happy with it that they called and asked permission to publish it. I don't think I have ever seen a poem in the bulletin before! She is just giddy and we are so proud.  Ironically, we were snowed in (we still are) and weren't able to make it to Mass, so we don't have the bulletin.
Here is the poem:
Mary
By Maria
Mary, my mother, how sweet thou art!
Virgin of Virgins with purest of heart!
Mary Immaculate, my sweet mother true,
Help me in this life to be just like you.
Lady of Fatima! Lady of Lourdes!
Along with the angels, with the flaming swords.
Lady of Guadalupe! Heavenly Queen!
Your beauty and love we have seen.
Regina Maria! Virgin Mother!
Through God you made Jesus our brother.
Full of Grace! My Lady of Heaven,
Have mercy on us the least of your brethren.
And now I say to you,
The words that God made true:
Hail Mary full of grace,
The world rejoices to see thy face.
The Lord is with thee.
And always shall be.
Blessed are thou amongst women.
For you shall enter the kingdom of Heaven.
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus, who has risen from his tomb.
Holy Mary, Mother of our Lord.
Lead us forever forward.
Pray for us sinners,
And turn our takers to givers.
Now, and at the hour of our death, amen.
For you are blessed amongst women.

Wow! I couldn't imagine any of mine doing anything close to that at 10. God Bless her!
I think that it is inspiring and my boys could pull something from it. Could you ask her if I can make a copy of it to keep? You could pm me with her last name so I could give her full credit.
I think God has great plans for her. Thank you for sharing.
