Hi, I am Bridget from California and mother to Luke 17, Molly 12, Hannah 10, and Mary 7. Mary is my very special child diagnosed with Pachygyria/Cortical Dysplasia. This blessing brought me to homeschooling, as I was very dissatisfied with what the school district had to offer.

I homeschool using California Virtual Academy for my son (he left public school half way through his Junior Year), Kolbe Academy for Molly, Hannah, and Mary, with a lot of tweaking with CHC for Mary's lesson plans...that goodness for Kolbe's flexibility. I work three mornings per week at my own chiropractic practice, and work with my 80 year old father. My husband has no faith label, but is very supportive of our Catholicity and lets me "run" with it! My husband is in law enforcement. We have been married for 20 years, but known each other for almost 30 years. He was my neighbor from English boarding school who used to visit in the summer (we met when we were 16).

My favorite thing to do is read, teach my children, and be home. I am hoping that our dear Lord will bless me in the stay at home department, but for now I am content in doing His Holy Will.

I have been lurking forever, and finally took the jump. I am so happy to be here.

I'm glad you jumped in! I'm from California too (central valley area), and we started using CAVA this year -- in the past we have used Kolbe, when we didn't simply do our own. Anyway, many welcomes!
