What would you do with books you disagree with? (I mean if you were a protestant and then converted and you had some books or if you significantly changed your parenting philosophy and believe the one you left is harmful) Burn them, sell them, give them away?

For me, it depends on how strongly I feel about the book. There have been some that I have just recycled because I really feel that strongly that they shouldn't be read. Others that I just don't agree with, but don't have that level of distrust of, I might just give away--say, a Protestant book that doesn't mention the Catholic Church but isn't in line with what the Church teaches.
This is a tough question!

Well, I have purposely purchased a very horrid book on the Church I found in a used book store just so I could trash it, so I would trash or burn anything morally dangerous.

I personally trash any book I read that contains anti-Catholic sentiment or promotes a misunderstanding of Catholic teachings. Also, anything really immoral or wicked. Why pass them on to confuse or tempt someone else?

I put them into storage.  I can't bear to burn or recycle books. Plus, most books I have read at one time or another were part of a journey for me, parenting wise, faith wise, etc. So they kind of feel like pieces of me, in a way. I have parenting books I would never loan to anyone, books and magazines from my fundamentalist days, and reams of both Catholic apologetics books and books intended to convince people to never convert to Catholicism. If I were to have the opportunity to talk with someone who was anti Catholic or perhaps anti Attachment parenting, or whatever..., I might want to reread to refresh my memory on the arguments, alongside pro Attachment Parenting or Catholic Apologetics works. But I don't keep them on my shelf for easy access.
Is that weird???

I've round-filed (thrown out) books or parts of books that I considered harmful. These days I'd throw such books into the recycling.
Books that I didn't consider harmful but didn't agree with anymore and wouldn't ever want to reread would likely be put into the second hand store pile if they were still in reasonable condition (it's what I did with the 'what to expect' books with their frustrating diet rules and over strict ideas about baby sleeping).

I would definetly recycle them! And hey, on a plus side, you are doing your part in "saving the enviroment"
