Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just started trying to do the T-Tapp Basic Workout, and I feel like the most uncoordinated person on the planet. I mean, I am actually pretty uncoordinated... my exercise of choice has, at other times of my life, been something easy like biking or walking... but anyway...

Can anyone give me some tips on learning this workout? My kids broke my instructional tape, so all I have remaining is the actual workout tape. I find they do so many exercises bent over with the head down that it's incredibly hard for me to follow along... even leaving aside the issue of complicated movements like making your arms and legs do different moves in rhythm at the same time.

they may have some of the instructional online.

And remember she says not to try and keep up at first.. just do what you can.. so work on learning it even if you aren't doing the whole workout to start. use pause ans slo-mo on your player if you have it

It took me about 2 weeks to get the motions down, Angela. I worked on learning one set at a time and then just did my best with whatever was left. Remember, she's engaging multiple muscle groups at once, so it's going to feel complicated. It felt good after I finally learned them all. Just give yourself time. Oh, and on the ones where my head was down and I couldn't watch...when I was really focusing on learning that one set, I would cue up the DVD to that point and watch it first and practice that move isolated for a couple of times...then start the DVD workout. It helped me a lot.

Could you get the book from your library or used? I think it would be hard to learn the workout entirely through the book but if you have the video and then can read the instructions as well, that might really help. I do have the instructionals and I do that anyway because the tips are so helpful! But I just focus on one move at a time.

Good luck! I've been at it a few weeks and there are still things I'm not quite getting.

I, too, keep thinking that T-Tapp is really hard to learn but it is possible. I've been doing it for over a year (took off about four months due to hip problems -resolved with visits to physical therapist) and just recently went through the book and wrote big notes in the margins for each page of exercises, so I can review it and do the exercises better.

I was sore in new places yesterday after the one hour workout (I usually do the 15 minute one twice a week and the long one once a week with just stretching on the other days.)
