My 14yo ds injured his knee this past Saturday while at baseball practice. Short story - he's having an MRI right now. Could you please pray for him and his care providers? Thanks and God bless you. I'll update when I can .

12/18 Update

12/23 update

Ds is back from the orthopedic dr. and we received no new bad news. He will continue to be in a brace for 4 weeks and will be checked again at that time to, hopefully, get cleared for PT. We had his other knee checked out and - good news - no tear there. We were concerned that he had the makings of a similar injury there.

Update 1/20/2010:

He's been cleared for PT! Wooooooooooohoooooooooooo! He can test it for pain when running and jumping - pray for no pain! Thanks so much for your prayers - keep them coming for a complete recovery and that he can be strong for spring ball.

Thanks, all. Could you please keep up the prayers? We thought his injury was improving (and maybe it is) but my ds saw the ortho today for the first time and...ds needs to wear a brace for at least 2 weeks and has another appt on the 23rd. At that time we hope he'll be released to physical therapy. Ds needs to limit his mobility...and miss a whole lot of baseball and Christmas activities . Plus...he is a man, an athlete, this is a tough cross to carry.    

We're so grateful because it could have been worse - phew! We're talking about ways to make the most of this down time. God is so good and His will is perfect...its this mama's heart that can faint at times like this .
