Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'd like to purchase a cookie press.

I came across these two:

Wilton Pro Cookie Press

Norpro Cookie Press

Any cookie press experts? Another brand recommendation?

What is the best value for my money? I'd prefer not to over spend if a less expensive one will do, but I know going cheap can cause problems (you get what you pay for).

Help!    (please)

I have had a Wilon Pro cookie press for about 7 years. I make about 5000 cookies each Christmas season with it, without any issues to date.

   5,000?!?!   WOW!

Thank you very much, LeeAnn, I went ahead and ordered it. Since I don't even make 1/10th that amount of cookies....I'm sure it will hold up well for me.

I make about 200 trays for my dh for his business contacts. I pack 10 boxes for my brother in the Army. I bring trays to several area convents, to our rectory, to the local children's hospital, friends, family and neighbors. It adds up quick!

I hope it works well for you. There is a bit of a learning curve when you first start using it.

Happy Baking!

LeeAnn, would you mind sharing your recipe for basic cookie dough with a cookie press? I have a cookie press I haven't used in years -- I tried two recipes with it and couldn't get it to work properly, so I stopped trying. Maybe I ought to give it another try this year.

I am not really a recipe kind of person I tend to mix ingredients together until I get the right consistentcy. But a site that I have used for a jumping off point is Cookie are for Giving .

Thank you so much, LeeAnn!

We spent time this evening with our new cookie press and now I see how you can pump out that many cookies! (...and why you don't mind making so many)
We made at least 100 tonight just to try it out.

SOOOOOOO SIMPLE and QUICK. Less mess (which means less stress for me) than rolling out dough and using cookie cutters.

I'm going to try a few recipes at the link you shared. The recipe that came with the press needs to be kicked up a notch.
