The early childhood years are a great time to teach a foreign language, right? Because young children can easily pick up a second language.

I believed that idea, and so this year we have been (very gently) learning Spanish with Senor Gamache in La Clas Divertida
dvd series.

We are going very slowly, and the kids like it.
But somehow something has gone amiss, because the other day we were watching one of the DVD lessons, and my dd asked me to pause the disc.

Then she looked at me, totally serious, and said, "Mommy, if you got rid of Daddy, you could marry Senor Gamache".


Good night! I hope this is not all that she is getting from her Spanish lessons.

Anybody else teaching Spanish to little ones out there? Where have I gone wrong?

We haven't had that problem yet, but I think they understand that Justin from the Sonlight Mathtacular series is just too young for me!
