It seems over the past few years, books by Inos Biffi and illustrated by Franco Vignazia are back in print, although some of the book are not available in the United States...until now. MicheleQ is carrying the three of the books right now, all very appropriate reading for Advent and the New Liturgical Year. Right now, Family-Centered Press is the exclusive US dealer for Way to Bethlehem. I think she has plans to carry Way of the Cross for Lent and Easter.
Earlier this year, Michele and I were talking about how much we love these books, as they are the best ones I've seen in presenting the liturgical year and preparing for Christmas. I had some time and prepared an Advent reading plan for these books, if it would help anyone.
And if you like the illustrations, don't miss the new LTP Liturgical calendar illustrated by the same Franco Vignazia!

I printed your plan, Jenn. Way to Bethlehem arrived today. I found it at Gracewing just as you recommended. The Liturgical Calendar also arrived today as well. I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful plan. Thanks so much.

For members not in America Book Depository has the Life of Mary for a very reasonable price. Free postage to 90 countries.

What age range are these book appropriate for? I take it they are not picture books? We live in the world of picture books for now.

Oh no! They are BEAUTIFUL picture books! The illustrations are just splendid. They are not as narrative as a traditional picture book. Perhaps you would just read a section or two (a two page spread) at a time with a wee one, but these are EXCELLENT catechesis for those still in the picture book stage. My three year old loves them (for a little while), and my five years old would let me read the entire book if I would.
