Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Could you tell me if they gave you a coloring page to do the ornaments on the Jesse tree or did your kids need to create their own. Ds is 6 and if he they don't have a sheet to print out I'll search for one. Any other stuff I should get besides what we want to use as a Jesse tree?

Thanks!

They did have coloring sheets for the symbols. I think they were circular and rather large. I'm trying to decide how big to make my "tree" based on their coloring pages. I believe it will have to be rather large to accomodate all the circles.

I'm thinking of just doing a posterboard flat tree "just in case" anything else might be difficult unless it was being hung on a large tree.

It's hard to plan based on what someone else is doing for you.    Isn't it?

holyheroes.com On the site you can sign up for "advent adventures". They will send in email form - short videos, crafts, songs, prayers. I did the vacation bible school one they had for one week this summer and ds (6yrs) liked it. Even my 12 year old peeked in and joined some of the fun. I didn't do the advent one last year, but it is free and will start sending emails once advent starts.

Paula, do you remember about how big the jesse tree ornaments were that can be colored and cut out? I am trying to decide what to use as a jesse tree (either a large poster board cut out, or an artificial small one)

Barb, I looked to see if I had saved them but I didn't. I know I printed them out on regular paper. I think probably 4 of them could have fit on one page, and we just hung them on our Christmas tree.

OH that helps to know about 4 fit on one paper. I am leaning to making a tree from poster board to save space (my tree has little room for all the Jesse tree ornaments and I don't know if I want to put up a small tree). Hopefully a tree made from one big sized poster board will hold all the ornaments!
