I just found a note, with pictures, one of my children wrote about me.  My mommy heart is so broken. Tears are flowing and I'm not sure what if anything I should do as a consequence.
Just asking for a little prayer that I get over it quickly.

Remember that we are creatures full of emotion and children's feelings and opinions can change so quickly based on the consequence or reward of the moment. Oh, Michaela! Very big hugs , they are just children, remember that! Their feelings change so quickly, be assured they love you! I can remember terrible things I thought and said to my dad in fits of anger, but I truly love him with all my heart.
Get the tears out, you'll feel better. Praying for your heart to heal very soon.

Praying for you Micheala.
As to a response, a heart-to-heart talk to figure out what really is behind it? I just know that when we had problems with one child reacting to another child continuously, it was only when I talked it out privately with that child, worked out the root cause of this problem and assured that child of my complete and unconditional love for them..it was finally resolved.

I'll pray for you, Michaela! You have such a good and tender heart!
I agree so much with Janette...children's experiences are reflected with such passion in the moment. They cannot know all the factors that influence decisions that we must make on their behalf, decisions they may not agree with.
I pray that Our Lady will assist you in pondering this in your heart so that your heart will heal and it might draw you and your child closer to her Son.

Michaela, my kids have never done that to me. Rather, I wrote a terrible note to my mother when I was young. I have never forgotten how I made her feel and how that made me feel. Prayers for all of you.

(On a side note I always hated the phrase, "Sticks and stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me." cause they always hurt me so badly )
