I am searching for things to keep dd3 and ds22mos busy during school. Does anyone use and love Baby Einstein? If so, which DVDs do you like the best? Any Baby Einstein toys that are must haves?
Thanks!

You may want to read this article before buying Baby Einstein DVDs. Short story, they are now refunding money due to their bogus claims that the videos are educational.

We got some from the library. I don't remember much except that I wasn't impressed. Wouldn't bother again.

I didn't like them. Look into Signing Times DVDs. They are awesome!

The Leap Frog DVDs have catchy tunes and are fun...even if they are educational.
I've gone to co-ops for my older children, and watched as a Leap Frog video settled a room of 2-4yos who just weren't going to let big brother or sister work.

My dc loved baby Einstein... it was the music that got them. We loved Baby Neptune (the beach scenes, especially), Baby MacDonald (kids loved the farm puppets with the pig sliding into the mud), Baby Wordsworth- the poetry on top of the scenery was beautiful- Baby Santa (I loved the little girls twirling in their dresses).
Some we did not like as much: Baby Bach, Baby Galileo. baby Monet...
If your library has them, you can try them out. I wouldn't just write them off- some kids really enjoy them.
The Preschool Power dvds are also great... my kids loved them at that age.

My preschoolers have all loved the Little Hard Hats videos.
Blues Clues was a favorite, too.

My DC enjoyed the Baby Einstein My First Signs DVD. My DD (almost 3 - next mo.) still enjoys this one a lot.

My kids have enjoyed the ones mentioned above and also Preschool Prep Co.'s Meet the.... series. They have letters, numbers, colors, shapes, even sight words in the series. They get captivated by these.

We have a couple of the Leap Frog dvd's, and I often need to pull the older kids away. So, I need something fun for the littles that the older kids won't be drawn to.
I do have Schoolhouse Rock, I just didn't think of it for the younger kids. Then again, they are watching Persuasion right now, so who knows!
