Please would you pray for my little guy - he has not been able to keep even fluids down since Sunday morning. He is very weak - and so very thin - he is my fussy eater and is thin anyway - and now looks skeletal. I am on the telephone with the pediatrician who wants to give him some more time before IV fluids (because he is more at risk from germs in the hospital)I have tried everything - even ice chips are not working. It is breaking my heart to see him so thin and listless.
Also that the rest of us may not get whatever it is- especially our precious baby girl who is only 4m old. I have my elderly inlaws flying in from the UK. It is my dd's 13th birthday tomorrow and we have couple of immuno-compromised guests for her birthday dinner. So I have so many decisions to make...

Marilyn just called me and said Mikey is throwing up all over the place. the ped does not want to give him any more Zofran. She's taking him in this morning and he will possibly be hospitalized, depending on how he looks.
There is a lot going on and she hasn't been able to get a hold of her husband. She doesn't want to take the baby in the hospital, so hopefully, her husand can take him.

Quick update - the ped called me and wanted to see little Michael this morning. He has put him on Zofran (i am on my way to get the prescription) - if he does not keep things down by 2 this afternoon he has to go in to the hospital for rehydration. I refused to look at the scale when they weighed him 
The doc also said that only baby Anna is at serious risk with the virus really - kids two and under.(most likely Mike picked it up at Mass on Saturday - apparently it is going round the attached Catholic school ) Please pray for the baby.
I am asking for the intercession of Saints Michael and Joseph - my little guy's patrons. And Saint Anne who has worked miracles for little Anna.

Praying for you! I am sure you have tried popsicles and smoothies (high in calories)?
I wouldn't do ice chips because digesting those actually burns more calories than ingesting a fluid...thus, it negates the intended purpose.

Oh no, Marilyn. Totally empathize, I have a really thin daughter who suddenly became a picky eater this year, and when she's sick, yikes! Praying that your little boy recovers soon and that the rehydration helps him. And keeping all your intentions for the rest of the family in our prayers. I've got some sick ones here too, it can get really worrisome. I'm sending lots of hugs as well.
