Please pray for Ken, who discovered he has throat cancer a couple of weeks ago. Ken has a large family and a child on the way - and a father suffering from similar cancer.

Also, please pray for our ongoing conversion intention - we are entrusting our prayers to the intercession of St. Monica. Our friend did not start RCIA this fall as we hoped he would; please keep praying.

I have a private intention - minor, in the great scheme of things, but stressful at the moment - and would appreciate your prayers for its resolution according to God's will.

My friend Amy needs prayers; she and her husband are trying to buy a house soon and it's proving difficult to find the right place for the right price. With baby #7 on the way, they need more space!

Finally, please pray for us as we work through health, financial and home-related decisions. I particularly need prayers for patience and diplomacy, skills I don't possess in great quantities.

Thank you for praying for all of these intentions. I remember your intentions when I pray, and I thank you for remembering mine.

Updates:

Ken had surgery and his voice box was removed. They think they got all of the cancer. He starts radiation soon and will get an artificial voice box in a couple of months.

My private intention is still kind of unresolved but I was able to deal with the issues involved yesterday with a truly peaceful heart, thanks to all of you.

I wish I had updates on the other two intentions, but I don't (yet).

Thanks for your prayers...keep praying for Ken, please; his 8th child is due any day!
