i am having some concerns about the veins in my arm/chest. i have been in some unsettling pain and discomfort for a few days. i am concerned about a recurrent DVT. there is no general swelling (but i didn't have that last time...) but my veins are sore, and my arm/shoulder is hurting, and some superficial veins are distended. i have to call the dr tomorrow - but it will be a new dr, and i am sure a round of tests and ultrasounds, and i am so not ready for that. and if there is another DVT it will mean i am on Coumdin forever - which i really, really, don't want.

update: well, no real surprise, she wants me to go for an ultrasound ASAP to rule out a DVT (i have an apt tomorrow at 3pm - which means more driving, ugh...), and i need labs done, and my Panic Disorder & Agoraphobia is so bad, she really, really wants me to try Zoloft. She said she usually will try different things before even suggesting meds, but that my PD&A is so severe (i have only gone out in the car 6 times in the last year ) that she feels i need meds just to be able to function. she's right. but i'm scared senseless by the idea of the meds.
i had three panic attacks in the office. it was pretty bad. but i stayed, which just goes to show how worried i am about my arm....
anyway.
i would appreciate prayers for tomorrow's ultrasound. that is going to be so stressful. ugh.

update #2:
NO DVT! Woo-hoo!
we still have to figure out why my veins are so sore and inflamed, but at least there is no DVT!!!!

my agoraphobia is making me a nervous wreck. but i know i need to go. (i am very good at talking myself out of going when the time comes.... )
