I hesitate to post as this is so trivial compared to some prayer requests, but...

I've had a painful bre*st since June. I went to the doctor and got some antibiotics, but that didn't really help. I avoided bf as much as possible on that side, and that alleviated it a bit, but now my baby is wakeful again and very insistent on being fed on both sides.

Anyway, I'm off to the GP on Monday and would greatly appreciate prayers for a speedy solution. I don't want to stop bf before we're ready, but owwww!

my cousin, who is a Doctor, had this same situation and just a few weeks ago was finally diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
I do not want to alarm you, but feel compelled to mention it, as even her Dr's and herself missed it for a few months...(she was nursing as well)
praying for you!

Thanks so much for your prayers.

Well, I went to the doctor, and he said that there wasn't much he could do about the painful nursing problem as the infection appears to have cleared up -- so I just need to sit it out until I give up bf

He did, however, seem very concerned when I mentioned my family history of bre*st cancer so is referring me for genetic counselling... I think I left more worried than I arrived...
