Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wanted to share, but don't want to retype everything.

My dc are on a backyard habitat kick. We explored this subject last year by reading books and clicking on links. Somehow...holidays, other activities, what have you...we got sidetracked and never finished. Wonder of wonders! The subject has reappeared! This time around I've turned the little savages loose and am practicing the art of masterly inactivity.

In true Montessori fashion, I provided the first lessons and introduction to the material. Now I am supplying the environment and stepping back.

Here is what has happened since yesterday morning

And did I mention it was 30 degrees this morning. While I'm thinking winter study theme (like the Winter Olympics), my dc are doing a springtime nature study.

Good work, Cay! I hope the wild things flock to your habitat!
Oh, and it was 60 with 60mph winds here this morning. I don't know whether to stay in and hide form the wind, or go out while it's 60!

The children are already there, MacBeth.

It's so wonderful to be understood by friends who are 1350 miles away.

I woke up thinking about this this morning when the weather guy said it would be 55 today.

You live in New York...it was in the 60's; I live in Louisiana...it was in the 30's. Do we see something wrong with this picture?!?!

We're off to the golf course this morning. Garrett is in a tournament. Nice, nice weather. Yea!
