If you have a moment today would you please offer a little prayer for my baby Kelly? At her 4 month checkup last week, the doctor thought her left hip felt "loose". We have an ultrasound today, and possibly an x-ray if the u/s isn't effective. Best case, she'd have "loose hips" and will have no trouble doing the splits. Worst case, she'd need to be in some sort of brace until her hip comes together. Or at least that's what the ped thinks--we'd have to see an orthopedist.

UPDATE: Kelly is fine, praise God! Our technician and doctor were absolutely wonderful with her. She is a little loose, but perfectly within the range of normal. Thank you all so much for your prayers!!

Praying! I was born with hip dysplasia, and way back when (in the dinosaur age when I was born ) one of the options was to wear 3 layers of cloth diapers instead of a brace. It worked! I was quite the absorbant baby. OK, just trying to make you laugh here.

I was also a nanny for a baby with a brace - it really wasn't bad once you got used to it - she even learned to walk in it if you can believe that!

Praying that it's nothing, of course!
