Please pray for us as we meet with the adoption agency representative next Thursday (26th) to start our adoption process. Specifically that we all remain patient and hopeful during all the necessary paperwork and the wait for our little girl!
Thanks!

This is like a pregnancy announcement. Praying your paper pregnancy will be blessed and mercifully short!

Congratulations, Lisa and Ray! You have achieved the most challenging part of the process already in discerning together that God is calling you to adopt a daughter. I will pray for patience for you in what can sometimes be a frustrating process. As a six times adopter though, I can say that it is all so very much worth the wait. Every bump in the road can be offered up for your daughter. May her Guardian Angel and Our Blessed Mother keep her and guard her until she reaches your arms.
Jane.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. We met with our agency rep. and everything went very well. We start our "paper pregnancy" as Elizabeth called it (LOVED THAT!) today. Lord willing, she will not be the only child we bring home in the future. We have our arms open for many of God's blessings.
We've already named her and I have to share with you how God gave us her name. We were praying one night before bed about what to name her and we both thought Hannah was a nice name but didn't give it much thought. Well, the next morning the readings were about Hannah in the book of Samuel and how she prayed to have a child! I don't know, maybe that's corny but we thought it was so awesome. So her name will be Hannah.
Please continue to pray this process goes well. Especially the home study. I just have no idea what to expect for that. We're a little nervous.
Thanks again and God bless you all,
Lisa
P.S. I just wanted to add a little something here. I have no Catholic friends here who homeschool (actually no Catholic friends at all) and it's been a lonely place to live (my husband is in the Air Force). We're moving this summer and that is one thing I'm praying so hard for is Catholic homeschool friends! Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you here for being my "friends" even if we never meet. You have no idea how much this board sustains me.

Fantastic! Please keep us posted. Hannah...what a beautiful name and story. Prayers continue.
We'll also pray for a move that will include Catholic homeschooling friends. Glad you feel at home here. We like your company.
Love,
