I ran in today (by myself ) looking for some stickers. However, what do I find but Martha Stewart Craft kits for $2! I bought packages of the pom pom woodland animals, which we'll do this fall. Also, pom pom birds and insects for Christmas gifts. Also for Christmas they had felt daisy and flower accessory kits. It's enough to make six items like hair pins and necklaces. I also bought the felt frame kits that each make 3 frames.
This should keep a busy for a little bit and I have some really inexpensive Christmas gifts thay they will love. Wow, this is getting me really close to having Christmas finished as far as the girls go .

I just love Big Lots. My daughter needed a small bookcase for her room tonight, so I conveniently sent her to Big Lots. As she was leaving I casually said "Oh, could you just check if they have any small $2 Martha Stewart craft kits there? I know they have them in Texas, but not sure about Long Island..."
She grabbed up nine different kits for our rainy day craft box! Thanks for the tip!

I was just in there today and found those same kits!! I got some notecard kits for the girls to work on - you make butterflies and trees out of glitter on the front of notecards. I got tons of animal puppets for all the kids...there were a lot at our Big Lots!!

I saw the notecard kits and I'm thinking I should go back for some. They were really cute.
I just love that everything is divided and "pre-measured" so to speak. Talk about a time saver!

No Big Lots near here...
One of the more difficult parts of being in the country...

We checked our Big Lots today and they had the kits
I see LOTS of craft time coming
Dd loved the note card kits, ds and everyone, really, liked the pipe cleaner animals, my middle dds like the hair crafts, while the youngers think the puppets and pom-pom characters are great.
Thanks for the heads-up
God bless,
Christine

Yes- thank you! I could not go myself, so I called in the reserves: Granny!
She went and picked up quite a few for us to strew along the alphabet path.

I was thinking about doing those notecards with the girls to give as Christmas gifts from them...something they could work on, but something that would be a nice gift!!
We would give a set of 4 or so to maybe grandma's or aunts...

Oh! I forgot one other thing I got there! Along with the craft kits, they had little scrapbook kits for $2! It included a little album - a 3 ring binder pink album (I think they had red/blue for boys.) But I am going to give these to NIECES! I think they are perfect for little girls wanting to make their "own" scrapbook! They might have been Martha Stewart too, I can't remember now.
