May I ask prayers for this situation. Not a huge issue, but not a welcome addition to our life.
There's this wasp's nest -- yellow jackets actually -- right in front of one of the basement windows of our house, a few feet from our front door. We've been going out the back instead and my husband sprayed last night (it cost us more to buy clothes, a mask and goggles to protect him from the spray than to buy the spray itself. I would have loved to find something non-toxic to humans but we really just wanted these things gone ASAP and not to experiment.) They were still buzzing around out there this afternoon though. We weren't supposed to check the nest for 24 hours. I'm hoping they will all just die soon, but if they don't I'm not sure what the next step is.
We just found something that could've been a big flying ant or could have been some other kind of wasp inside our house, too. It's dead now, but I suppose there could be others. Ugh.

Praying with 100% empathy. We just called in the pros to get rid of a nest in our crawl space. (Bad news: $$$. Good news: total success.)
Sadly, there's no good non-toxic way to get rid of the wasps that doesn't involve sucking them into a shop-vac.
Sending peace-of-mind prayers your way!

They seem very aggressive this year, too!
Wish I could find a nest in our yard. We have a hard time playing out there lately. I think it is the time of year.
Prayers!

ugh. i feel your pain. a few weeks ago dd-18 had a wasp fly into her room from somewhere else in the house (we're thinking attic). a few days before that there was a wasp in the 10-yo's bedroom. probably from the same place. we haven't tried to solve the problem yet as we're dealing with other issues here. so yikes, lots of empathy here. praying you get rid of them soon!!

I remember your post about the wasps, Nancy. Glad your problem was solved!
There's no evidence that the spraying helped. The likelihood of having to spend "$$$" on this feels so burdensome right now.

Thanks for your prayers. We had an exterminator come today. Although still a significant expense by our standards it was not nearly as expensive as I had feared, and we were also more able to afford it than I had thought we would be at this time. While the outcome is not yet certain, I'm glad it has probably been resolved.
