Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Friends, it has been a tough day on the boards...I just needed to hang out for a minute and say that....I'm feeling so sad for several families who are really struggling, for Emily and Paula....and so many others who have it so tough today. I'm not sure of my whole point in posting other than to say, life is tough, thank God for our Faith, each other, and I'm praying for peace and grace for everyone here. Isn't it going to be glorious one day, when we can see each of these little threads that we have all touched in God's tapestry, and it all makes perfect sense, and we can all sigh with relief that we MADE IT to our Heavenly Father's House.

Keep the Faith, Sisters! (and those occasional Brothers!)

You are such an "encourager" my friend. I blogged about how you always say "sister we are in the trenches" and you always make me smile when things are tough.

I love what you said to me this morning: "I know when it is all said and done, it will be quite apparent that any success my children have in life will be due to the Good and Merciful Lord and Our Lady's intervention, because my efforts are always lacking!! That's okay, All Glory to God!! He calls us to be obedient, faithful and confident....not successful...whew!!"

I'm feeling so sad too after logging on after a while and reading the updates in the prayer forum.

I was feeling the same way. So much sad news lately, all of it hitting families that I can see myself in. Thanks for this post.

Oh my...I had read Paula's update and then the update about baby Matthew and I'm crying...I saw the title of this topic and thought, "Take a deep breath" thinking "Oh, no, if this is about Lily..." and instead, you gave me a lovely cyberhug and renewed focus on the beauty of the Body of Christ, to include the bittersweet beauty of suffering. Thanks so much, dear .

Love,

Cyberhugs to everyone and prayers from our household tonight.

It will indeed by marvelous when we do indeed see how God has woven his tapestry!

to all of you tonight.

I agree...this is a sad night. So many that we know are hurting so intensely. But, in these times, when it seems there are so many of us hurting, I am most thankful. There is really nothing like the consolation of sharing these Crosses, in all their beauty and agony, with all of you. It is perhaps the most grace filled expression of these boards - that we walk together in joy and in sorrow with each other, embracing these moments together, and offering dignity and hugs when other circles offer scorn or nothing at all. What an unspeakable consolation to walk this road with you ladies and know that we all wait together in joyful hope for the day when the veil is pulled aside and we behold the Splendor Our Lord has been saving for us!

to you 4ladsmom!!! Your gentle words are a healing balm!! Keepin' the faith with you, sister!

I am sure that's why Emily's blog is called 'God's Canvas' my goodness, it's going to be BEAUTIFUL beyond all imagining for the Snow family, right side up in heaven.

All of you ladies are so inspiring! I read the news this morning and began to cry. These are tough times for so many. But certainly reading this helps to put all in place. Placing our trust in the Lord and in his plan, I continue to keep the faith with all of you, my sisters in Christ!

I was just thinking before clicking over to 4Real that my prayer life has become richer and more meaningful because of all of you. When there are so many intentions to pray for, so many people to remember, prayer becomes present in every part, sometimes every minute of daily life. What a blessing!

I'm so grateful to God and to all of you.

Yes, last night was sad.    I was thinking that before I turned in, and now I wish I had checked in here. Thank you for the words of wisdom.

Life does seem like a valley of tears right now.
The Body of Christ is a wonderful thing, though...Hugs to all.

I have been frustrated that we can't gather on each others porches for fellowship, bring food into each others kitchens and comfort each others kids in the dark times.

But this thread reminds me that we stand shoulder to shoulder in prayer. And maybe that is the better part.

Beautifully said Bridget. Community is something I am pondering and journalling about right now.
