Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I need to go out today and get one...we have gone too long with the broken one.

Which one is your fave? (We do mostly black ink and are very thrifty with it!)

I am loving having the black ink only laser printer (mine's an HP laser jet 1020).. it lasts so much longer than the ink jets and we used the color so rarely anyway.

We use our printer A LOT with both black and white and color. We had a very old HP for a really long time and when we got our new Mac my mom bought us a HP Photosmart Premium. IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!! It is a top of the line copier, printer, scanner and fax. It writes on CD's as well. We absolutely love it. The individual inks really help on the ink budget as well.

The fast draft option is great for those coloring sheets and other not so important papers.

Good luck!

We have a black-only laser printer, like Jodie. (Ours is a HP Laser Jet 5 that dh brought home from work when they were upgrading - we got a copier that way, too.) I love being able to print without having to worry about using up ink. I think that in the 3+ years we've had it, we've replaced the toner cartridge once for ~$20.

So I looked at the laser printers today- they are pricey! But it makes so much sense. For those of you with a laser printer with just black ink do you also have a regular one with colour?

I should add, that we hardly ever use colour. But we do like to use our copier alot for knotwork patterns etc.

Nope I can't think of anything that I *need* color to do. If I want photos printed, I can just upload them to a local store and have them printed that way.

We don't print color, either. Color laser is WAY too expensive. Only on occasion do I need to print something in color and I ask my dh to do it at work...it has to be small and important. (We don't print photos...or things like Montessori 3 part cards).

As for price, you might look into getting a refurbished or used one from a rated seller on eBay...
