and could use your wonderful prayers! He was admitted to the hospital last Sunday with a heart attack and is not doing very well. He is 91 and has been as strong as an ox and worked very physically his whole life (kinda looked like John Wayne, truth be told) Being in a hospital is his least favorite place to be and he woke up completely confused trying to pull out his iv last night and punched a nurse...good grief! I pray for his comfort...and conversion. He had a rough life growing up, had a large family and was always having to travel from job to job in different cities. He isn't Catholic but I am hoping for every grace and blessing for him...one of his sons is with him now...and he happens to be a Catholic Priest! At different times he called himself Catholic, so I was wondering if he would convert before his death?
I am reminded that this is the anniversary of my Grandmother's death (his wife). She had a devotion to St. Anne, is buried at her shrine in Scranton,PA and was buried on St. Anne's feast day...She was a strong Irish Catholic woman that taught her children to keep the faith. I know she rubbed off on him ;o)
Please pray for Ed. He can be a gruff man that has a heart of mush. He needs the love of prayer right now. Would you please consider praying for him??
Thank you sooo much

INCREDIBLE UPDATE:
Praise God! I got this from my cousin:
"I just got off the phone with my mom. Grandpa is about the same health wise.
Father Bill prayed over grandpa - last rights - and grandpa asked are those the prayers you said for mom - and said yes. He liked that. Father Bill asked if he knew what today was - it is grandma's anniversary (July 22, 1996). He did not realize that. He said you know I loved her and they were talking. Grandpa wanted to become a Catholic and Father Bill made him a catholic, absolved him, said prayers and when the nurse and father Bill said Amen grandpa did so too 3 times. Then tears streamed down his face when they finished. They said everyone is amazed he appears to be happy, pleasant, and totally at peace. He is resting very comfortably but no change in his medical condition."
Fr Bill is my Uncle...how cool is that...welcoming your own FATHER into the Church!!
Do you think my Irish Catholic Grandmother had ANYTHING to do with this? LOL!
THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR MIGHTY PRAYERS!! woo hoo!!
You guys are all miracle workers! (Use your power for good LOL!)

My father tried to convert about a week before he died. Apparently there was a problem with the local priest accepting this but, in my heart, I consider him as having died a Catholic. It's definitely a work of prayer and the Holy Spirit. I'll pray for your grandfather.

Donna Marie...I've just woken to this, I'm looking at my emails coming in, "My Grandfather is dying, My Grandfather is dying...and many, many more, THEN I see "My Grandgather is dying INCREDIBLE update"
and WHAT an update! What an update.. (my good, happy tears)
I am sure your grandmother would have prayed to St Anne for a good and happy death for your grandfather, for which she is patroness of.
I am offering prayers of thanksgiving, I will remember your grandfather in the remainder of my St Anne novena and my daily St Anne chaplets, for a happy and holy death or for his renewed strength and recovery, whatever is God's Holy Will.
