Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

If you set a timer, how much time do you set?
How many times a day?

I set a timer for the kids -- 30 min each unless they're doing school work. I don't have a timer for me because I'm usually working when I'm on here ....acutally, since I'm a consultant for
WriteGuide, I do have to be working (at least checking emails) throughout the day. Then I'm also trying to wrtie as much as I can and reading all the helpful and resourceful stuff on this and other places, I really need almost unlimited time....

MaryChris,

I'm not setting a timer, but I'm trying to limit my time to 1 hr/day. I did this last year for a while, but not very successfully.

I'm hoping it will go better this time, but I'm missing everyone...    I definitely don't have time to read all the wonderful posts here AND all the wonderful blogs people have posted. I'm just always so terribly worried I'm going to miss some wonderful nugget of wisdom if I'm out of the loop. Trouble is I'm missing too many wonderful nuggets of my families wisdom when I'm online. So...I'm off...

My goal is to be on the computer in the morning while enjoying my cup of coffee....usually between 5:30 and 6:00 am. Everyone is still sleeping and I'm usually off by the time the kids are waking up. I like to check my e-mail throughout the day, but try to limit that as well. I have found that I accomplish much more when I am able to control my computer habit .

My goal is to spend as little time as possible on the internet, but I end up with about an hour a day. My computer comes up to Catholic Exchange so I can check out Catholic news, articles, the daily readings and saints. Then I try to zip over here and lurk for awhile before moving on to national news. That all takes up to 30 minutes, but it gets cut short by little people waking up. I try to check email once in the afternoon and then have another internet session later in the day/evening to come back over here and then read some blogs, maybe another 20-30 minutes. I don't set the timer, though, just because I have 5 little human timers who go off when I've been here awhile .

My goal, too, is to not jump on the computer just because the children are otherwise occupied or I have a quiet moment. I've been on more than usual these last two days and boy are my laundry piles growing! In fact, I'm going to go switch loads and do some folding...
