Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

When you do an artist/picture study how long do you study a particular picture? A week? Do you concentrate on one artist at a time? If so, how long do you normally spendon each artist?

Hi Sylvia,
We did an art study at the beginning of the year. It was supposed to go all through the year but instead we did three months then had a break as we had to catch up on other work. We will resume our study this term.

I just picked one artist for each month. We would research them, cover about 3-4 of their main works, then do a notebook chapter. For this I just found some free art notebooking pages on the net. We printed up each of the works and wrote a profile sheet on each. Then used colourful dividers in our notebooks to section each artist. We also notebooked one page on style.
The dc's loved it.
