Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How pretty ~ all that red!
Have to admit, after watching the video, was feeling "alittle" itchy

Maria, I had intended to post this months ago - but was just going through my photo files and remembered. Shortly after you posted this we were on a wildflower hike in the same general area where I think your article referred to. Well we came on our own "swarm" of ladybugs - I've heard about them in the area and generally this swarming happen in the fall, but we had never seen it ourselves. Pretty amazing. Like I said it usually happens in the fall. We had a very cool and wet summer this year enough so that they think maybe the ladybugs reacted by engaging in this behavior early and at lower altitudes than would be normally seen. Interesting....

The picture doesn't really do it justice - they were everywhere covering an outcropping of rocks.
