Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone got a favorite blueberry muffin recipe? I've got a whole bunch of fresh blueberry's here and those are my husband's favorite muffins. I'd like to surprise him with some but have never made them before

Anxiously awaiting recipes too. I tried one a few weeks ago and it was awful!

I really like lemon blueberry muffins best . and top with a lemon glaze too . I just use my gramma's old orange muffin recipe but sub lemon in place of orange and throw in blue berries instead of raisens I have also added poppy seeds to the buttermilk and that is really yummy too .
I have made the blueberry muffins also from the Tasha Tudor cookbook it is pretty good too for just a plain muffin .
I am terrible with typing recipes out though . if your really stuck if no one else posts I can get out my gramma's recipe and I also have the Tasha Tudor cookbook .
Right now I'm pooped and going to nap with grandson I'll check in later

Ok Maria but you have to have me over to eat them afterwards here is the orange muffin recipe .
I also don't use buttermilk very often I just add either 1T viniger to the milk to sour it or if making lemon muffins add about 3T lemon juice to your milk . I really love citrus flavour so I have even used half milk half orange juice and the muffins work out fine . If you want poppy seeds add 1/4c to your buttermilk and let them sit for at least 1/2hr.

Gramma's Orange Muffins bake @ 350 - 375 25min

1/2c shortening
1c white sugar
2 eggs
1tsp vanilla
2c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1c buttermilk or soured milk (add poppy seeds or juice now if using )
1T grated orange rind ( or lemon rind )
1/2 c raisens ( or berries )
1/2c walnuts or pecans ( optional )

topping : 1/4c white sugar
3 T juice (lemon or orange )
mix together and top muffins while still hot . easy way is just dip top of muffin into bowl of glaze

blend shortening & sugar til creamy , add eggs & vanilla .
sift together dry ingredients add in orange or lemon rind to flour mix.
now alternatly add flour and milk mixture to shortening beating after each addition ending with flour .
stir in raisens , berries or nuts
place in muffin cups and bake 25 min glaze while hot .
Enjoy !
