Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thanks to a recent visit to an excellent exhibit at the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum in Key West, my ds has has expressed an interest in studying The Tempest next year.
Can anyone recommend some good resources to go along?
(I've done a search of the archives and found plenty of general Shakespeare resources, but none specifically on the Tempest.)
And what would you add to a Tempest unit to flesh it out with some related material? ("The Perfect Storm" comes to mind...)

Also, which general Shakespeare resources do you ladies like for a 14 yo 9th grade boy?

We've read quite a few of the Shakespeare comedies and tradegies in co-op classes or on our own. The first thing I also do is have my kids read several children's versions so they know the story well. Some versions I like are Leon Garfield's, Bruce Coville's, Lois Burdett's (written in poem).
I remember they also recreated a scene from The Tempest with Legos.
