Hi Families,

I know that most of you know Sabine and Beate...

Sabine just called and there is a grassfire that began 8-9 miles away from her's and Beate's home (they live across the street from each other).

Please keep them in your prayers.

Praying! Is this Sabine in San Antonio?
We passed a (small) grass fire today, south of San Antonio. I've never lived anywhere so dry!

Yes, it is!!!

Oh, this doesn't sound good. Sabine and her family just moved into their newly built home not that long ago.

Beate just wrote me about a week ago.

Hi Ladies,

I just got off the phone with Beate and the worry has passed!

In fact, Beate sent this update:

"The fire is south/east of us and across the highway - the wind has died down so this time we don't seem to be in any danger. They have evacuated one neighborhood - prayers for those families and the firefighters from 16 companies that are out there.
The Blackhawk helicopters (they are awesome) went back to base a bit ago, so it seems things are getting better. The dryness will be a continuing danger down here - so this served to make us at least plan for the event. If you'd send up a prayer that Sarah's asthma won't flare up with the smoke, I would appreciate it :-) She's done great thus far. They are forecasting rain for Monday - oh let it come!!!!"

I know they appreciate your prayers very much!
