Hi all,
I just have a second (going back to the hospital) but my nephew Noah was admitted to the Fairfax Hospital ER this afternoon because he started throwing up blood last night. This happened several times. The doctor wanted to make sure there was no underlying serious problem so she told my sister to go to the ER. Now we found out that they are going to put him under to take a look inside and keep him overnight. He is 7 months old. Also, there is a tube up his nose (and down his throat) that is making him absolutely miserable. The doctor was quite stubborn and wouldn't hear me say that it was the problem. Honestly, before that you wouldn't have known anything was the matter - he had no other symptoms. I believe it is providential that my sister was up here and not at her home in the Outer Banks when this happened, but it is still difficult to watch.

Please pray for Noah and his mommy, Lauren. (And for his Daddy - Billy - who is back home over 5 hours away.)

Thank you for the prayers. Noah (and mom) are staying overnight in the hospital for observation, but the endoscopy (under general) went well. It showed some minor irritation to the stomach and small intestine lining. The doctor is treating with an acid reducer to give it a chance to heal but is not concerned with what he saw.

Please say a prayer that the 2 of them get some decent sleep tonight!
