Anybody use this makeup and what do you think of it? My mom has used the bare essentials(?) brand for a while and was looking for a more economic alternative. For $1 apiece I might even try some if anyone can tell me if it's worth it.

I have used the e.l.f. mineral makeups. For the price, they are pretty good. I just ran out of e.l.f. foundation, and picked up a sample size of BareMinerals. The BareMinerals is much better quality, but costs a whole lot more. So, don't expect the same quality as the pricier brands, but if you are looking for something more economical, it's the way to go. Fwiw, I've also tried Avon mineral makeups, and I think the e.l.f. is better.

Do you know anything about their other makeup... the non-mineral stuff? I have never used mineral makeup and don't know anything about it.

I haven't ordered anything other than the mineral makeup, but they sure have good prices on everything! I have been tempted to order some things just to see what their other products are like, but I'm always afraid I'll order all the wrong colors.

I have no experience with it, but my neigbor recently bought some and said it's no better than what you can get at the dollar store. I haven't tried it myself, though, so I'm not sure.

I just got my order a a few days ago. I pretty much replaced all my "old makeup" that is YEARS OLD (naughty, naughty I know) for under $20! For $1 you kinda can't go wrong.....all this stuff would've cost a FORTUNE at Walgreens...and it's decent makeup....feels light, stays on, and looks good!!
Everything is $1 !!!!!!!! So, even if you order a couple wrong colors, no big deal!!!
I used CAROLINA to save 50% (up to $7.50 max), and now there is a EGSHIPT code for $1.98 shipping on orders above $15.

E.L.F. Makeup & Cosmetics store is having a sale going on right now online until 11pm pst (2am est Thurs) where you can receive $.25 shipping when you spend $10 or more.
Head over to E.L.F. Cosmetics. At checkout, use the coupon code: 25FOR25 to receive your $.25 shipping rate.
They have lots of $1.00 items that would make great stocking stuffers!!!!
My girls LOVE "pretending" to put on clear mascara and I figure it's good practice!

Can anyone tell us where the elf makeup is made? I looked around on their website and couldn't find the information.
My dd would like some lip glosses and perhaps eye shadow (for herself and for gifts for friends) but we have found that many are now made in China. I don't feel comfortable using any kind of makeup coming from there.

Can I just say how much the title of this thread is making me laugh at this time of year? I keep wondering just what kind of makeup an elf would need.

I tried the e.l.f. makeup, and wasn't impressed. I wanted to be, especially for the price, but I wasn't.
I only tried the eye stuff & lip stuff - mascara, eye shadow, liner, lip gloss (I never wear lipstick, it looks weird on me.) So, no idea about the foundations.
I very rarely wear makeup anyway (I have rosacea, and have a "redness calming regime" from Clinique that I usually do instead, and I am bad at even consistently doing that...) but everything else - even good quality minerals - are not kind to my skin at all. It's frustrating.
