As soon as I picked this book up off the shelf, I could hear that National Geographic theme song playing in my head.

This is the amazing story of Jacques Cousteau told in beautiful picture book style. It includes many facts about him that I never knew. He invented modern scuba gear. He made the first underwater films, after inventing the equipment he needed to do it. He went all over the world...

Each page includes a quote from him.

We enjoyed the book so much it has sent us off on a rabbit trail. I found this:

which made me cry (possibly it was the music- or maybe just reminding me of my youth).

Anyway, great book!

Oooh. looks cool - I rally like well done picture book biographies. And I certainly grew up with Jacque Cousteau TV programs.
