I have been hit hard by allergies (again) and I am here (again) hoping this doesn't count as complaining too much because I am trying REALLY hard not to complain (too much) about the fact that I am dealing with a repeat of last summer, with its wheezing that won't clear up. I've just gotten through one round of steroids, which was wonderful -- finally being able to breathe again, I had so much energy! As soon as I went off the steroids, the wheezing returned. So I'll be back at the doctor's tomorrow.
What really makes me want to weep, though, is less the fact that I'm wheezing than the fact that it drags me down so much and I can't seem to accomplish anything... or to enjoy the weather, which has finally warmed up!! I have so many problems with seasonally related depression, and then when it gets warm - it's asthma! I am trying to see the irony in this -- trying also to offer it all up -- but oh, it just makes me want to cry sometimes.
Anyway, if you would please offer a little prayer for me, if I can't stop wheezing, at least to be able to wheeze to the glory of God.

I am so sorry! I have some bad allergies too..but at least I can still breathe. I will pray hard for you and offer up all this ick for you!

Praying for you...this is so hard!
We have a son who struggles with spring and fall allergies...he's a singer too...go figure. He has been doing much better this spring. He has been having LOTS of frozen blueberries and a Neti-pot (a nasal cleansing pot). He showers before bedtime and we change the pillow cases every evening. Maybe some of these things will help?

Just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers.  I'm feeling pretty good right now, but am tapering off steroids so am a little scared everything will just go back the way it was. On the other hand, I was also perscribed pulmacourt and told to use it for the summer months.  And I begged for an appt with an allergist, which is next week.
I have also written down everything everyone has said about asthma and allergies on these boards: neti pot, blueberries, vitamin C, changing pillow cases...

Oh dear, Angela...how did I miss this? I'm so sorry you were suffering - asthma is awful!
You have my prayers that everything stays manageable and that the appt with the allergist yields some workable solutions!
to you! How terrible that this is going on during gardening season!
