Since moving to our new property six months ago in the dead of winter with almost four feet of snow on the ground, now that spring has sprung we are discovering so many new things and our explorations are in abundance every day. Typically as in all our other nature adventures or when I was teaching Nature Clubs to our homeschooling groups while living on the west coast, I now live in eastern areas so everything is new and exciting for me just as it is for our children (and hubby too).

Please join the fun as we are in continued adventures using a main reference source called "Fun with Nature" as a springboard to all our findings. Yes, we have so many areas and things to explore living in the center of foresty geographical and country areas, even a big black bear wondered onto our property last weekend. Yikes!

Nevertheless it's still the three foot long snakes, critters galore, wild flowers, new birds nesting nearby and other assorted lovelies keeping us all on our toes. The deer, skunk, porcupine, and other wildlife are nearby, and we are hoping to chronicle all of our findings on our family blog along the way. If you are so inclined, please join us.

So far we have ten posts, and so many more are written and being uploaded over upcoming weeks. The children are finding, catching, observing, identifying, sketching, pressing, referencing, finding more resources in our family library and proudly proclaiming their new found property dwellers to their daddy and older siblings still living on the westcoast. What fun this is! How cool is it to keep up with, even for this older mommy. Let the adventure continue.

Looks great and I just bought the Fun with Nature books to use this summer and fall, so this is perfect.
