Hi all. (I've missed you!!)
I've got a few things on my mind right now and I'm very grateful for any prayers you can send:
- for my 35-yo cousin who was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer a few months ago -- she was given 8 months. She has a 3 year old boy:( and is away from family
- for the mom who helped her son clean our yard while we were gone -- she got poison ivy poisoning! we had no idea we had poison ivy on that area of our yard 
- for hubby whose infection from a surgery wound 2 years ago is now acting up again
- for the grace to accept His will if we end up not going back to Italy for dh's work -- dd-18 and I are really struggling with this; our family got so much closer and life was slower there... and we were not emotionally prepared to come back here for good... but with the economy being what it is, the company is thinking of switching gears so dh might not get sent back there. we thought we were going back in august/sept but right now it's not looking good :(

Praying.
I hope there is a turn around so you can return to Italy.
In the past I did not like the return to a more hectic pace after a vacation or a camping or sailing trip where it was just us with fewer obligations. Fighting the faster pace seems to require too many "no's" and I often get sucked back in.
So maybe praying for you, I will also pray for a return to a self enforced , slower pace here.

We've missed you, Stef! Your description of Italy and the slow, gentle life that is embraced there has me ready to meet you at the airport! I'm so sorry the return trip is in question! It does sound lovely, and I can soooooo understand right now how that quiet, more sane rhythm of life would be welcome and embraced.
In the meantime...I'm glad you're back  and that we might get to see you around here more often . Isn't that selfish of me?

Thank you very much for your prayers. Some updates:
My cousin's parents are staying with their family, so they have help now. Please pray for her dh who is having the hardest time in trying to understand why this is happening to them. He is not angry with God but he does not have as strong of a faith as she does and so he's angry at the circumstances. All of them are under stress at home. My cousin is still working to pay for her medical expenses -- her dh just started his new job a year ago so they need her income.
The mom who cleaned our yard is doing great! Thanks for your prayers.
My dh's infection is not yet completely gone -- there's still a slight opening of the wound; please pray for complete healing.
There's a new concern -- he may have sleep apnea and will be undergoing a second test this evening. Please pray for his doctor (a close friend) and that he and his partners can develop a good treatment plan for dh.
We are starting to adjust to life in the US again, and are pretty much resigned to whatever happens. Your prayers have really helped! Thank you. We find out June 24th what the final decision is in this matter.

Update:
It's been a month since I posted. Dh has seen his doctor 2x. He's seeing him again on Wednesday. If the wound hasn't closed up by then, he is considering ANOTHER surgery for this hernia issue that started in '06. If we go to surgery, this will be his third.
Please, please pray that the wound closes up by then and that the inside is completely healed and free of infection.
