The time has now come when I have to face one of my biggest fears; going to the dentist.  The last time I went to the dentist was when I was expecting baby Maria because of pain in one of my front teeth. The dentist discovered that the roots were almost gone and now I am in a lot of pain and can barely eat. The tooth has now become absessed, is a little loose and I can no longer put this off. The tooth will probably have to be pulled and replaced. Who knows how much this will cost. I was really hoping this would correct it self, but the abcess behind the tooth is too large to ignore. I am not looking forward to it. I hope to get the courage to make the phone call before it gets worse.

Oh Ruth, what ALOT you have to offer up! Sounds to me like you've gone through enough (on your own) already! Please call the Dentist ASAP. The pain has got to stop!
When you call, explain to the Receptionist how nervous you are about going to the Dentist. And when you are sitting in the Dental Chair, tell your Dentist the same thing. Ask him/her what needs to be done, and what can be done to make this procedure as comfortable as possible for you.
I'm sending my Guardian Angel to your appointments with you
YOU CAN DO THIS RUTH! Especially having given birth 7 times!!!!!!!

I will keep you in my prayers Ruth. Going to the dentist is very hard for me too. I really try to block everything out and focus on what Christ did for me. The scourging that he took and the crucifixion. Not that the two compare at all but I find that by thanking him for the sacrifice I am able to make it through that time in the chair.

Ruth,
I am praying for you! You poor dear! I am going to adoration for an hour in the AM will pray for you there most ardently. God bless! Make the call and there isn't any reason they can't give you something to help you relax. You will need another driver there though for the ride home. I wish we lived closer!!!

Oooooooooh Ruth!!! Don't I feel for you!! My mother had an absessed front tooth removed around the time I lost two of my teeth. Her dentist just bonded a permanent replacement tooth as soon as it came out, no expensive bridge or plate..I'll be praying for you!!!

Many prayers since I always get butterflys about the denstist too, but Bob gave me some good advice a few years ago. "Nothing at the dentist really hurts anymore." The more I thought about this, the truer I knew it was. They numb you before they even numb you with a needle, so that doesn't even hurt anymore. You don't want to lose your tooth and if the abscess is really bad, you could get a bad infection. They will just give you antibiotics etc. Just walk in with confidence, tell yourself to relax and try to not think about it too much. I think sometimes us folks with vivid imaginations (myself being one of them) can get ourselves really worked up which is actually more dreadful and painful that the procedure!!!
My prayers are with you. Just call the dentist. Remember the dread is worse than the procedure. Just tell yourself that.

Oh Ruth, I will cover you in prayer. I don't like going to the dentist either, but my dh always reminds me to be thankful we have dentists who can help when we are in pain.
