We have a pinhole leak in a pipe and slight water damage on two levels. My dh has cut into dry wall and thinks he has identified it. We have a plumber coming out. Please pray that they will not destroy too much wall or flooring and that we can get it fixed at a reasonable cost. At a week postpartum I am trying not to get stressed with the mess - I am trying to focus on our beautiful healthy baby and put water damage in its right perspective. The ironic thing is that when Michael was born almost 2 years ago, we had a pinhole leak and water damage in his first week - and I am determined not to get as panicked and stressed as I did then.

Oh No!!! Breath!!! This too shall pass...hopefully the water won't "pass" through too much in the way of floors and walls.....and this will all be a distant memory in a short time!!

Thank you. Plumber came out and fixed it - expensive but not exhorbitant. We have to let everything dry out and then dh is going to try his hand at doing dry wall for the first time - and the wall damage is only in our main level basement. The ceiling damage is in the basement and luckily it is a drop ceiling - so should not be too hard for dh to fix. We are looking at it positively as a chance to teach all these boys some new skills (that their parents have never had!!) - can you tell I have been reading the Duggar book and feeling bad that I am really clueless with home improvements!! 
Thank you again for your prayers - i am back off to bed to snuggle with my little girl.

Just seeing this, Marilyn; I'm glad it's been fixed! The week after I came home with #6 we had a new roof put on the house.  So I can definitely empathize!!!

I was praying even though I couldn't post at the time!
I'm glad the leak is resolved, and I think that the rest of the repair will be a great learning opportunity for "learning in the context of real life"!!!!!  It doesn't get any more "REAL LEARNING" than this!
