Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just got home from a vacation visiting family in Alabama, and I just wanted to brag a little about meeting Jennifer! She's even sweeter in person than online, and she is doubly gracious. I still can't believe she loaded up her family the day after they returned from a weekend away and drove the distance to meet me and my family at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament.

After mass, we had an idyllic picnic lunch under some trees overlooking the extensive grounds while our children played hide and seek (I think, I'm still not sure that my children know how to play hide and seek , but my boys had a great time anyway). Unfortunately, the meeting ended somewhat abruptly when it began to rain, but God surely blessed us with a sunny, breezy hour together before the rain came!

I encourage you all to plan pilgrimages to the shrine for a double blessing--a lovely spiritual retreat and a chance to meet Jennifer and her family.

Lindsay - you're so sweet! And it was such a delight meeting you and your lovely family! We had an absolutely lovely day visiting with your family as well! And, that was a perfect spot there under the trees, wasn't it?! I'm so glad you took time away from visiting family to come meet us and visit with us during your week!

It's funny to watch homeschooled children play any sort of game. You should have seen my children the first time someone told them to line up in a straight line! Straight WHAT? King of the mountain, Red Rover, Hide and Seek - those were all learning experiences for my kids!

So....I've met Angela (Angel) earlier this summer...and now Lindsay ...and I have plans for another meeting at the Shrine later this summer with another 4Real-er!    Let me know if you're headed this way - I delight in meeting with you lovely ladies and finally putting some faces with names!
