Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Okay, am I just getting old or what? (I am 45.) For the last few weeks, my whole body has been aching - especially my hips and legs. I know I can take Motrin and feel better, but it's bugging me that this is happening. It's not so bad that it keeps me from functioning, although I do want to sit down more. At night it's bothersome because I can't get to sleep. I haven't changed anything that I have been doing lately so I have no clue. Has anyone ever experienced this? Any clues?

I'm not much help but what comes to mind that may be helpful is a chiropractic adjustment? Sorry I can't give any more advice . I'll pray that you feel better.

Do you have any other symptoms, like fatigue or more sickness/infections than usual? Those symptoms with the aching might indicate fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. Is the pain just in your legs/hips? That might indicate a back problem. Did you fall or twist, move heavy furniture or anything else that might have aggravated your back? Motrin can be a good pain relief medication, but if the pain continues much longer, you certainly should consult a doctor.

Thanks Jody and Caroline. The achiness is mostly in my hips and legs and shoulders. My DH thinks it's from carrying our 1yo around a lot. He's not that big, but he's wiggly. He just likes to be held, so I hold him. I don't think that's it though. It just seemed to start all of a sudden. I haven't lifted anything heavy that I can think of.
We actually know of a chiropractor and I was thinking about seeing what she thought. I don't want to get into the whole "adjustments" thing though. We have a friend that seems to go have her back adjusted all the time. Maybe I am just getting old. My   mom had arthritis - but I don't remember it being everywhere, only in her knees.
One thing that did occur to me was that I have become rather sedentary over the winter and maybe just getting out to take walks on a regular basis would help. I don't see how it could hurt anyway.

Interesting that you mention flax seed oil Jodie. I took it for a while, then switched to cod liver oil about 6 months ago. Maybe the flax seed oil was helping and I didn't even know it.
