Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am wondering if anyone has heard them speak or read any of their books. They are speaking at a local conference and I am interested in getting opinions about them beforehand.

They are homeschooling parents of 14.Here is their website.

I read one of their books, "Yes, they're all ours" about twenty years ago. As I remember it, they are proponents of the QuiverFull theology of family planning, have a dozen children, the father was a police k-9 trainer and he uses wisdom gleaned from that for child-training and they were big on having Scripture posted around the house.

Their book was one of the first books I read that countered the prevailing wisdom of artificial birth control being the best form of family planning.

I don't know what they've been up to since then though! Hope it's an interesting talk.

I second what LeeAnn said. I've also read their book "Yes, They're All Ours" and was impressed with their mindset on family and homeschool. Marilyn Boyer is very organized, has a gentle spirit, and would probably be quite the encouragement to the homeschooling mothers. Rick Boyer is the comedian and will keep you laughing as you can quite relate to some of what he jokes about. I know they are Christian, not sure what religion specifically. I would love to hear what you learned at their conference!
